SF Mime Troupe and Toubab Krewe

SF Mime Troupe in John Hinkel Park in Berkeley:

Well Saturday the 6th was an interesting day. Pix and I caught for the second year in a row the SF Mime Troupe. They always put on a good show, but they also educate politically as well. This year they talked about development on Treasure Island, which apparently still has a great deal of toxic pollution from when it was under the control of the Navy. You are advised, if you live on TI not to dig in your back yards or to track dirt into the house, as these actions may expose you to toxic chemicals or radiation, even today! That was a surprise.

Then later that night Carol Johnson and I caught a performance of Toubab Krewe at the Sweetwater in Mill Valley. Last time I saw them was at the Mint in LA in 2013 (or there abouts). They put on a really great show, lots of fun. I've already got a ticket for their next visit in town at the Boom Boom Room in September!
